Mesotherapy is a nonsurgical cosmetic treatment that uses a series of targeted injections to deliver customized ingredients-such as vitamins, plant extracts, homeopathic medications, and other compounds-into the mesoderm, the middle layer of the skin.

The selected compounds are designed to help break down fat while supporting firmer-looking skin. At Shining Way Esthetics, our team is officially trained to administer Kybella®, an FDA-approved injectable treatment designed to reduce moderate to severe fat beneath the chin, commonly referred to as a double chin.
Although Kybella® may be used for a similar concern, it differs from traditional mesotherapy. Rather than using a customized blend of compounded ingredients, Kybella® contains deoxycholic acid, the active ingredient manufactured and distributed by Allergan, Inc. Deoxycholic acid helps break down fat cells in the treatment area, allowing the body to gradually eliminate them.
